Financial Disclaimers
1. Regulatory Status
MedStock Limited operates as a recognized and licensed Digital Credit Provider (DCP) within the Republic of Kenya. Our operations, interest methodologies, and collection practices are strictly governed by guidelines prescribed by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).
2. Credit Risk & Liability
Incurring debt for inventory procurement inherently carries business and financial risks. MedStock extends unsecured, short-term commercial credit specifically intended for pharmaceutical supply chain purchasing. By accepting a credit limit and utilizing platform financing, you acknowledge the personal and corporate liability tied to the prompt repayment of these funds.
3. Fees and Penalty Interest
MedStock operates on a transparent, flat-fee model for financing cycles (typically 30 days). However, failure to repay the principal amount in full by the agreed maturity date will result in the immediate application of penalty fees:
- Penalty Rate: A 1% compounding late fee is applied weekly upon the outstanding principal balance.
- Recovery Costs: Should an account require external collections agencies or legal litigation, the defaulting party absorbs all associated recovery costs.
4. Credit Bureau Reporting (CRB)
As a CBK-regulated entity, MedStock is legally obligated to share the credit performance of our clients with licensed Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs) in Kenya. This includes both positive data (on-time repayments reinforcing your credit score) and negative data (defaults and systemic late payments).
A negative CRB listing can severely impair the borrowing capacity of your pharmacy, hospital, and its individual directors across all Kenyan financial institutions for up to 5 years.
5. No Financial or Medical Advice
Calculations, insights, inventory movement analytics, and generic demand forecasts provided by MedStock's software intelligence tools are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute certified financial, accounting, or medical advice. Retailers and Wholesalers bear the ultimate responsibility for ensuring their inventory purchasing decisions are commercially and medically sound.
6. Forward-Looking Statements & Availability
Any projections, expected repayment outcomes, inventory demand estimates, or performance indicators made available through the Platform are informational and inherently uncertain. They should not be interpreted as guaranteed financial outcomes, guaranteed credit approval, or guaranteed future platform availability.
MedStock may modify, suspend, or discontinue non-essential features, analytics modules, or integrations at any time for security, regulatory, or operational reasons.
7. Tax, Statutory, and Professional Responsibility
Each Retailer and Wholesaler remains solely responsible for its own tax filings, statutory deductions, licensing obligations, and compliance with applicable healthcare and commercial laws, including invoicing standards and eTIMS obligations where applicable.
MedStock does not provide tax, legal, or audit opinions. Users should consult qualified professional advisers before acting on any financing or inventory recommendation.
